Hey all,

Name is Sheogorath (Sheo for short). I'm trying very hard to reach the gold cap, currently at 40k, have quite a ways to go. I've been using the AoE farming strategies made famous by Hobbs on my paladin, but I've grown bored of it. With 40k I've become interested in playing the Auction House. I stumbled upon this site while watching TradeChat with Panserbjorn (sorry the special character isn't there). So just saying hello, and will hopefully be getting in touch with some of you pros who have reached the cap and wouldn't mind sharing some tips and tricks with me =)

-Sheo

Thanks! I look forward to getting to know you all. Right now I'm working on getting ALL of the JC patterns to give me more flexibility when cutting raw gems. I have almost every profession covered with the exception of engineering, blacksmithing, and leather working.

But yeah so far it appears from browsing around on this site that JC is the way to go =) Too bad the prices fell so much.

It's ok that prices fell, there is still a small profit margin. Just rinse and repeat for selling gems.

To get you started:

JC/Prospecting Spreadsheet
Cross reference The Undermine Journal data with WoW Popular
All JC related articles on our blog (just for reference, some methods are out of date)

Good luck!

P.S.

I downloaded Lil'Sparky's Workshop after reading one of your posts. Omg the thing is a charm!

The only problem I have with it is the fact that I use Auctionator, which doesn't keep "average market prices" like Auctioneer. It just tells you the current lowest price of an item. So when using the Addon I always stand next to an AH NPC and double-check prices. One time my eyes were the size of grape fruits when it said I had a 1k gold profit margin, I scanned the AH and saw some goofball posting something that normally fetches 50-100g for well over 1k.
