Hey guys,

I wanted to get a discussion going on the "Bank Alt." Mainly because having a bank alt didn't seem like a great idea to me at first. I thought "wait, why send all my stuff to this other toon to post it, when I could just do it myself and free up a character slot?" Well, I did a search of the forums and I didn't find any discussion on bank alts, so if there is already a thread, please feel free to delete this.

I'd like to use this space to have anyone and everyone post what they use their bank alt for. For example:

1.) I discovered that it's actually kinda nice to send all your stuff to this lvl 1 toon, who is unguilded, who nobody knows. It's great to send it all to them so you can list all of your things in relative peace and quiet.

2.) It's great to have everything centrally located on 1 toon. I have 5 80s, with almost all the professions covered. So hopping from 1 toon to the next to check my AH mail and to re-list things, really sucks haha.

That's all I can think of at the moment...I'm gonna leave it at that and hope you guys post some cool and unique uses for your bank alts! =)

I think bank alts are great, mine has a guild of his own, (Guild Bank FTW). Just one thing to note, don't leave your bank alt at level one, take a little time and get them to at least level ten. That is the minimum level that Blizzard backs-up your character data, so in event of a catastrophic failure, you can still get your precious little bank alt (and his/her items and gold) back in one piece.
