Some interesting news about what is in store for professions in Cataclysm.

Looks like they are trying to balance the professions better in terms of their gold generating ability. I am most curious about the Engineering stuff. They have always had cool gadgets but not enough were BoE to make good money. I guess the new bows and guns will be big sellers at the start of the expansion.

I made a lot of gold by farming ore at the beginning of WoTLK since I outpaced the vast majority of players leveling from 70-80. I had 2 nights of farming saronite and titanium nodes in Sholazar with no competition. I am thinking it will be the same story for Cataclysm: beat people to the higher level zones and sell ore or bars. I only have 2 miners now and they are both DK's so I guess I'll be leveling those first. Maybe even one will become my main in the expansion.
